Our politics are a mix of both conservative and liberal making it a melting pot for old and new ideas. Since AARP and Money Magazine voted our area The Place To Retire To In America there are many new retirees buying and moving into the many newly-built, Albemarle condos near the new University of Virginia & Martha Jefferson Hospitals. There are numerous parks and wildlife refuges and 100,000's of acres in conservation easemetns which stops growth and those horrible subdivisions one sees in Northern Virginia. Pen Park is a great place to live if you are looking at Albemarle townhomes. It offers jogging, tennis, golf and a playground for kiddies.
